NASDAQ Achieves Record High Market Share in NYSE-listed Securities
The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced its consolidated market performance statistics for the

Market
Center
for the month of April.
NASDAQ handled a record high 65.3% of all U.S. Equity share volume in April 2007. NASDAQ's handled volume in all
U.S.
securities was 70.6 billion shares, an increase of 28.3% from April 2006.
During April, total reported market share in NASDAQ-listed securities was 72.3% and matched market share in NASDAQ-listed securities in April was 46.0%.
NASDAQ also captured record high levels of market share in NYSE-listed securities in April. NASDAQ's matched market share in NYSE-listed securities increased to a record 16.1% up from 7.9% a year ago. Handled market share also hit a new record of 58.3%.
This month NASDAQ begins reporting performance statistics for exchange traded funds (ETFs). For the month, NASDAQ's total reported market share of all U.S. ETF volume was 52.9%.
For the month, NASDAQ achieved total reported market share of over 30% in 326 NYSE-listed companies priced over $10 with average daily trading volume of more than 1 million shares.
